To UV or not to UV - advanced projection tutorial

A model is not enough for a good looking visualization. A lightning can be very important and material/textures cannot be overlooked as well. Material says: surface has been done from a metal, leather, fabric, skin - it makes your objects really live.

Material constructions and quality of your textures are very important, but crucial can be a different question. How to place them to the surface? CINEMA 4D/BodyPaint 3d offers really many ways how to project your textures and materials. We can use many different geometric projections, we can restrict materials on selected areas only, we can use vertex maps, stick our textures to the surface without UV mesh, mix many projections directly in one material and much more. And very important is, CINEMA 4D/BodyPaint 3D offers a very powerful UV toolset as well.

Clothilde modeling tutorial

Clothilde engine, the cloth engine in CINEMA 4D is not a new feature. It was a part of the MOCCA module before and now itīs available in the Studio package. Almost everybody who had try it discovered, itīs pretty easy tool to use but results often doesn't look good. Yes, Clothilde is not the best feature in CINEMA 4D but itīs still really very helpful tool especially for the modeling process. With Clothilde you are able to get really nice and realistic results with almost perfect UV mesh. Is not problem to model pillows, bags and others objects, but without correctly and suitable UV mesh results will be wrong. Clothilde can solve these tasks. Clothilde can solve these tasks in few minutes. Itīs almost perfect modeling toolset!

An animated smoke tutorial

We have really nice tools for fluid effects and smokes of course. There are great plugins like DPIT or Turbulence4D, we can use Pyrocluster as well. But all these possibilities take a lot of render time and it can be crucial in many cases. In case you are looking for some really simple, fast and cheap solution, you can use standard CINEMA 4D lights and particles. This solution is not so perfect like fluid effects, itīs without doubt, but it can be still very usefull for animations (it renderes very quick).

Lights themselves have one really very important disadvantage. They can not cast shadows. We will teach how can we simulate them and how to get really nice and suitable shadow for our smoke.

A texture creating tutorial – how to get really nice texture from your model

Are you looking for good textures or samples and you are not able to find any? No problem. You can make them directly in CINEMA 4D using many ways. almost Every flat texture is very easy to do in CINEMA 4D (can be easily done in Cinema4D). In case you are capable of doing simple model, itīs only couple of steps to get fantastic textures. Without baking, in couple seconds.

We will see how we can transform pebbles model/scene to interesting textures and perfect materials. We will not use baking, we will only render the scene and it will only take couple seconds . We will get color texture, height layer, diffusion layer and normal map...

File contains two examples. Second one describes how to get textures and material of gutter tiles model.

It will be task for alpha channel, but alpha has many disadvantages. It can take a lot of rendering time, textures are too flat and you can't achieve really plastic and natural look. Maybe you think it´s really hard task to do something like this. That´s not true. It will be really very easy and effective. We will learn how strong Formula spline and Xpresso can be in many simple, but powerful tasks and Mograph Cloner object. We will demonstrate Surface deformer and Connect object as well. A landscape shader/scene/tutorial

Two scenes/shaders with a different "seed" settings only, used for a landscape scene. Shader is based on SPD technoloogy, but this technology could be replaced by simple HyperNURBS object only. Scenes donīt use plugins or other 3th party stuff. Zip file contains a basic tutorial as well (MP4 format) with high res (1200x720). In case you need simulate a bit different terrain, adjust a seed settigs in all gradient shaders (to same value). In case you want simulate reflecion, turn a reflection channel on. Here are two examples in higher resolution: http://www.c4d.cz/gallery_high/winter4.jpg, http://www.c4d.cz/gallery_high/skala3.jpg. You can simulate same resoult in older CINEMA 4D versions as well!

A basic XPresso tutorial – clocks making

Do you need natural and simple clock behaviour? A solution for your animations and architecture visualisation? Something what can be very easily adjusted? I have a solution for you. A Deformers using

Deformers can be really very powefull, we can combine them, restrict them, use them by non typical ways. We will show on the flag example pretty nice using. We will use the standard Wind/Flag deformer. But we will use it a bit different, becouse this deformer change the global lenght of the object. But itīs not natural. We will solve it by other deformer and get really natural look by other deformers, XPresso expressions and much more.
